Probiotics for dogs - for the protection of your dog's health
Each of the breeders has certainly experienced a time when their dog was "sick". Many problems, such as diarrhea, indigestion, allergies, internal parasites, and poor wound healing and hot spots, can stem from weakened immunity.
To date, no feed manufacturer has addressed the issue of health, immune support and civilizational diseases in as much depth as we have at Yoggies .
And because the dog is a true human friend to us, it took more than two years to develop BARF with probiotics for dogs that were fed raw food, or cold-pressed pellets with probiotics and dietary supplements with probiotics.
And thanks to our development, every breeder now has the possibility to support the health of his dog even more. From now on the fight against allergies, parasites and many other problems can be easier.
What are probiotics for dogs?
A probiotic is a living organism that has a positive influence on health, strengthens the immune system and improves the balance of the intestinal microbiome (formerly the microflora). Yoggies DogProBio belongs to a group of symbiotics, i.e. preparations that combine probiotics and prebiotics. This combination can modulate the gut microbiome and thus positively influence the immune responses of the dog's body. These "responses" can be to both external and internal unwanted stimuli. Internal stimuli include food allergens, internal parasites, inflammation, healing processes, diarrhea, antibiotics, etc. External stimuli can be bites of parasites such as ticks, fleas or reactions to pollen, mites, etc.
Probiotics can also be very helpful in preventing the mentioned allergic reactions and other
reactions from your pet.

What is the purpose of probiotics for dogs?
Positive effects of probiotics and prebiotics in dogs have been demonstrated in enteropathy, vaccination, dog stress, treatment of diarrhea, after antibiotic treatment, distemper, intestinal obstruction, constipation. Probiotics for dogs can also help treat, as well as prevent, many different types of allergies such as food allergies, chicken allergies, dust allergies, mites and internal parasites such as roundworms, tapeworms, etc. Probiotics can also help with giardiasis, various digestive imbalances, artificial feeding of puppies, prevention of the immune window in puppies, parvovirus, rotavirus infection and in the general prevention and strengthening of your dog's health.
What is the composition of probiotics for dogs?
The combination of probiotic micro-organisms must be at least 3 x 10 8 CTU/g (100 million live organisms per gram) for a "therapeutic" mixture and 3 x 10 6 CTU/g (1 million live organisms per gram) for a "maintenance" mixture.
The mixture consists of inulin and cultures of Saccharomyces boulardii, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium spp. and starch. Starch and inulin are functional prebiotics that are used very effectively in the digestive tract as prebiotic ("food") for probiotic cultures. This ensures the maximum probiotic effect of this blend.
Did you know that probiotics for dogs were developed from strains that cats also have in their microbiome and even we humans? That's why probiotics for dogs are used today not only by dogs, but also by the entire "human" Yoggies team to boost our immunity.
The results of recent tests suggest that dogs fed pellets or raw food containing Yoggies probiotics were tested for the presence of internal parasites such as roundworms or tapeworms. It turned out that although the dogs had not been chemically dewormed for more than 2 years , but were given food and supplements with probiotics, no parasites such as roundworms or tapeworms were detected in their digestive tracts.
Probiotics for puppies, adults and older dogs
It is recommended that dogs be given food and supplements with probiotics for the rest of their lives.
Probiotics for puppies are especially important to prevent the so-called immune window , see below. If you choose cold pressed quality pellets for puppies with Yoggies Active probiotics and sometimes use preventive DogProBio to strengthen the immunity of the puppy, he will develop well, have a strong immunity and the development of his joint and movement apparatus will be in accordance with his needs (Ca, vit.D3, vit.K2 etc.)
For adult dogs, probiotics in food and supplements are important, especially for daily reinforcement of their overall health and defense. Sometimes they "smell" something, lick something or may suffer from certain civilization diseases, such as allergies or parasites. Therefore, it is good to think about prevention and natural support of their health thanks to DogProBio .
Older dogs need probiotics just as much as a puppy . Although the older organism does not have high requirements for protein and fat intake, it needs stronger protection against many diseases and digestive problems that affect older dogs than adult dogs. Probiotics are also excellent in fighting disease and inflammation, which can often develop into more serious illnesses.
Can probiotics also be used for prevention or only for diseases?
Yoggies DogProBio is a mixture that can be used both to prevent and strengthen immunity and for acute problems.
Using probiotics for preventive reasons - probiotics can be used regularly to prevent allergies and diseases. You can give them 1-2 times in six months or more often. You cannot overdose probiotics in dogs, but we recommend you follow the recommended dosage. A varied and healthy diet is also important when administering probiotics. If you feed the dog raw food, we recommend BARF of the brand meat + of Yoggies and a cold pressed BARF + side dish . When feeding dogs granola we recommend cold pressed Yoggies Granules . All foods also contain probiotic strains (except DogProBio). This gives your dog an even wider range of probiotic strains and prebiotics.
Use of probiotics for therapeutic reasons - For pre-existing problems, the "therapeutic" mixture is dosed for 3 days at the earliest and then the "maintenance" mixture for 10 days (as in the case of prevention). If the dog has more serious problems or is treated with antibiotics, we recommend consulting your veterinarian, who will advise you whether and at what time to use probiotics for the dog.
Is DogProBio for puppies, adults and older dogs?
DogProBio probiotic blend is generally intended for all breeds and dog breeds of any age. You can give them for preventive reasons, or for different diseases and problems.
For smaller breeds (dogs up to about 5 kg), you can divide the recommended daily dose (10 g) over two days (2 x 5 g). This extends the probiotic dose from 13 to 26 days. This recommendation is only valid for dogs up to 5 kg!
To modulate the microbiome of the dog well enough and strengthen his immunity, we recommend using Yoggies food and supplements for regular feeding. Yoggies feeds and supplements are always developed as a functional unit with a comprehensive scope.
How to dose probiotics for dogs?
The DogProBio set contains 3 white sachets and 10 green ones. The white sachets are meant for the first three days of initial care (1 sachet of 10 g each). Green sachets (10 sachets) are meant for the next (maintenance) care. Give one sachet every day.
For small dog breeds up to 5 kg at maturity, each bag can be divided into 2 days. This prolongs the dose. NOTE - only for small breeds!
The best way to give probiotics to a dog is to mix it into yogurt, etc. You can also mix it in cold or lukewarm water. The mixture contains starch and inulin. For this reason, the mixture may thicken when mixed in yogurt, for example. In this case, use a little water and dilute.
Never heat DogProBio above 30°C! You could destroy the probiotic effect of the product!
The mixture is tasteless and odourless!
How to store probiotics?
If you store DogProBio at -18°C, the shelf life is 24 months. If the product is stored at +4°C, the shelf life is 12 months.
!!! Never heat DogProBio above 30 ° C. You could destroy the probiotic effect of the product !!!
